The Idea
Photographing a mayor international sports event at a historic 1972 olympic site with a complete manual camera, only producing black and white digital files. No “fast food” photography, but rather “slow food”, conceptualized photography to get back to the roots showing the essence of sports, the power behind it, the emotions and the beauty of such a large event.
The Event
50 years after the 1972 Summer Olympics, Munich once again hosted a multi-sport event: MUNICH 2022 EURO.
The Guy with a Camera
World-renowned photographer Poby using two fully manual contemporary Leica M10 Monochrome with four manual focus lenses. Manual means, focusing is done manually, so is the aperture. As it was done 50 years ago. All images copyright by poby.
